HUMBERTOWN JEWELLERS DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

This past year marked a turning point for Humbertown Jewellers as we adapted to the changing landscape of the times. We have pivoted our family-owned jewellery business in a number of ways, with virtual events, being just one of them. Here is how we have been able to adapt to how the digital changes occurring in the retail landscape amidst the pandemic.
While lavish, in-person events used to be a large part of how we connected with out clients, new restrictions required that we reinvent the way we provide a positive and personalized client experience. This adaptation came in the form of virtual events, with our first ever event presenting 2021 Tudor Novelties, hosted this May. The virtual evening was filled with socializing and our guests were treated to a spread of charcuterie, fine cheese, and champagne.
SOCIAL MEDIA + EMAIL = THE NEW CONNECTORS
For us client communication has traditionally taken place in-person or over the phone. However, with the changing landscape, we have noticed that more clients prefer to communicate either through social media or email. It has become a great way for the retailer to stay connected, and to keep in touch with our customers.
CLIENT SERVICE 2.0
In the past, clients would come into our brick-and-mortar location to receive luxury service with an attention to detail. Now, service goes beyond the store and we transferred that customized, personal service online. We work with the client to get them information they need, whether that means emailing them product photos, booking virtual appointments, or taking curbside appointments that come with a box of chocolates and a cappuccino!
A NEW E-COMMERCE WEBSITE
As you may have noticed, we have a new website (which is the site you're reading this article on right now)! As the retail industry changes and demand for online shopping grows, Humbertown Jewellers is changing too. We are thrilled to have worked with a fantastic agency to redesign our website and, for the first time ever, start introducing e-commerce and online purchasing capabilities into our online site. We have a few new features still to come that we will be rolling out in the next few months so stay tuned for new announcements coming soon. We are excited share our updates with you very shortly!
As we continue to adapt and transform our business both digitally and through more traditional avenues, we stay hopeful that however the world re-opens, new opportunities will emerge for businesses to provide exceptional customer service to their clients while creating new opportunities for their business and community.
